mistakes we see is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cJust give me the highest cut level.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It sounds safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But in real industrial applications, it is not always the best solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A glove with higher cut resistance may require a different liner construction, yarn technology or coating structure \u2014 and that can affect:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Destreza<br>Tactile sensitivity<br>Pega<br>Fadiga das recommend looking at 4 factors together:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1\ufe0f\u20e3 Cut Hazard<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What exactly is causing the risk?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sharp sheet metal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Metal edges \/ burrs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Glass<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plastic components<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Blades<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manuseamento geral<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The hazard itself matters more than simply asking for \u201cA5\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2\ufe0f\u20e3 Required Cut Level<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">EN ISO C \/ ANSI A3<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">may be sufficient for some general industrial applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">EN ISO D-E \/ ANSI A4-A5<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">may be more appropriate for higher-risk metal handling or stamping applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And for very high-risk applications, higher levels may be required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But the rating should always be matched to the actual workplace risk assessment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3\ufe0f\u20e3 Dexterity<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is often underestimated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For a worker handling small components all day, a very heavy glove may provide excellent protection \u2014 but if the worker cannot manipulate the parts efficiently, they may remove the glove or work around it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That creates a different safety and productivity problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is why we often see different constructions being used for different jobs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">13G \u2192 Protection \/ durability<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">15G \u2192 Protection + dexterity<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">18G \u2192 Dexterity + comfort<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">21G \u2192 Maximum tactile sensitivity<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gauge itself does not determine the cut rating.
